‘GLAM ROCK: CREATE YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT’

This workshop was devised and delivered by Kat Thomas as part of Kingston Museum’s ‘Bowie and Beyond’ Exhibition (31 March - 16th September 2023) in May 2023.
This exhibition tells the story of the origins of Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust person, and his links to the thriving music scene in Kingston in the 1970s.
The workshop invited families to create their own musical instruments from recycled materials, and decorate in Bowie’s iconic glam-rock style.
