‘HOW DOES YOUR HOME FEEL?’

This workshop was a co-devised and co-delivered by Kat Thomas and Calum Perrin
( ‘Unlocking the collections’ Artist in Residence 2021 ), as a closing event for the residency.
The workshop used mindful drawing activites, and a range of printmaking techniques (lino printing, monoprinting and collograph printing) to explore tactility in the domestic space, and ask: ‘how does your home feel?’
The format of the wallpaper sample book was reinterpreted to investigate the surfaces, fabrics and objects we touch every day, in response to research in the museum’s collection and archive.
